We use innovative, communicative teaching coupled with state-of-the-art technology to provide an enjoyable and expansive Curriculum,
At ASHS your child can study French until Year 9 when they may choose to study a language for their GCSE examination. In Key Stage 3 we use Metro 1, 2 and 3 textbooks and have introduced some project-based assessments following positive feedback from our stakeholders.
In Key Stage 4 we study topics such as Media & Culture, Sport & Leisure, Travel & Tourism and Business, Work and Employment.
Should you require more in-depth details regarding the GCSE specification, please go to www.edexcel.com and search GCSE in French. A GCSE in MFL is not only a passport to academic success, but also to success in the workplace. The recently introduced English Baccalaureate also places an emphasis on a Modern Foreign Language.
Being able to speak a foreign language will place you at the forefront of European commerce and as rail improvements continue to improve, we are nearing the day when staff commute to Paris and beyond from Norfolk via London Stratford. These are exciting times for the modern linguist!
